As delightful as it is to have a show staged, it doesn’t happen quite often enough, and therefore there can be quite a let-down when the shows are over.
If you’ve been in plays or directed or worked on them in some other way, you’ve probably experienced that let-down. Now…imagine that you gave birth to that baby…that play! It’s hard to say “good-bye!”
But, just like every other theatre professional, who knows that the job is temporary and is always making connections for that next theatre job, I, too, am always working on my ‘next’ project.
In a few days it will be November, which is NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), and I’ll be focussed on a novel. But not to worry…I always have a new play that I’m working on as well. Keep an eye out for the two act play, Crisis, Incorporated… a farce.
